100 POINTS!!! PLEASE PUT METHOD SO I CAN UNDERSTAND Three salesmen work for the same company, selling the same product. And, although they are all paid on a weekly basis, each salesman earns his paycheck differently. Salesman A works strictly on commission. He earns $65 per sale, with a maximum weekly commission of $1,300. Salesman B earns a weekly base salary of $300, plus a commission of $40 per sale. There are no limits on the amount of commission he can earn. Salesman C does not earn any commission. His weekly salary is $900.

PART 1

A. For each salesman, write an equation showing the relationship between their weekly paycheck amount, p, and the number of sales, s, they had that week.

B. Graph the three equations you just wrote for each salesman if they have between 0 and 20 sales in a week. Graph all three equations on the same graph. Make sure you label each line with the salesman it represents, as well as label the axes. Note: The independent variable is s, and the dependent variable is p.

PART 2

The weekly paycheck amount for each salesman, p, is a function of the number of sales, s, they had in that week.

Is the function representing the weekly paycheck amount of Salesman A a proportional relationship? Use complete sentences to explain your reasoning.

Is the function representing the weekly paycheck amount of Salesman B a proportional relationship? Use complete sentences to explain your reasoning.

Is the function representing the weekly paycheck amount of Salesman C a proportional relationship? Use complete sentences to explain your reasoning.

PART 3

What is the slope of the function representing the weekly paycheck amount for Salesman A? Use complete sentences to explain your reasoning, or show your calculations.

What is the slope of the function representing the weekly paycheck amount for Salesman B? Use complete sentences to explain your reasoning, or show your calculations.

What is the slope of the function representing the weekly paycheck amount for Salesman C? Use complete sentences to explain your reasoning, or show your calculations.

PART 5

Verbally describe what each ordered pair in the first row of your table (when s = 0) means in terms of the situation. Use complete sentences in your answer.

PART 6

Verbally describe what each ordered pair in the first row of your table (when s = 1) means in terms of the situation. Use complete sentences in your answer.

PART 7

Verbally describe what each ordered pair in the first row of your table (when s = 10) means in terms of the situation. Use complete sentences in your answer.

PART 8

Why is the point (12, 780) significant on the graph of the functions representing these three salesmen? Use complete sentences to explain your reasoning.
