The figure shows a vessel in the shape of an inverted right circular cone. The vessel contains some water. (a) Find the area of the surface of the vessel in contact with water.

(b) Find the height XA of the vessel. Hence, find the additional volume of water required to fill up the vessel.

I've done (a):
In â–³AYE,
EA = \sqrt{ {16}^{2} + {4}^{2} }
The area of the surface if the vessel in contact with water
= 331 cm² (cor. to 3 sig. fig.)

Could you help me with (b) please?

= \sqrt{692}
= \pi \times 4 \times \sqrt{692}
