So lets rewrite this. P=pounds. We also turn the 3 3/4 into an improper fraction. So it's 15/4. 15/4p = $20.25. Don't forget whatever you do on one side you do to the other. We have to leave the p all by itself. We divide 15/4 on both sides or multiply 4/15 on both sides. I'm going to choose multiplying it on both sides. You should do it too as it's the opposite of division. Also you can change any whole number and make it improper by puting a one under it. Trust me it'll make multiplying a whole number with a fraction easier.

4/15 * 15/4 makes it 1, but we don't have to write 1p, we can just write. So lets just say they canceled each other out. We are left with:

We don't really now how many dollars and cents it is. We have to simplify it. Hopefully you know how to simplify.

Now lets divide. Don't do anything with p.
