From the way the question is worded, I think there's a list of choices
that's supposed to go along with it, and I'm sad and disappointed that
you decided not to share them.  But heck, ANYbody can pick the right
answer from a list of choices, but it takes a real to pick the right
answer from a list of no suggestions at all.

           (3x - 2) + (x² - 5) + (2x + 7) =

             3x - 2 + x² - 5 + 2x + 7  =

          (x²) + (3x + 2x) + (-2 - 5 + 7) =

                    x² + 5x  miles

            or   x (x + 5)  miles  (same thing)

Maybe the answer is 20mm. all i really did was just multiply, which is obvious.
