How is point-slope form different from slope-intercept form? how is it the same? can you use one form to find the other form? if so, how? if not, why not?

We have several equations for linear function ..
point slope is used when you're given a point that the graph passes through..
so you will substitute it in point slope equation :
( y - y1 ) = m (x - x1)

& ( usually slope is given with a point )
( substitute the point in y1 & x 1 )




use slope intercept form
when you need to find :
slope : m
or y-intercept : b
only one of them is missing or required

y = m * x + b


we also have general form:
ax (-/+) by +c = 0

use only when asked ( write the equation is general form )
