If a shirt cost $97. james borrowed $50 each from his parents and bought the shirt. out of the $3 change he received, he gave $1 to each of his parent and kept $1 himself. by then he would have owe $49 each and total debt = $49 Ă— 2 =$98 and $98+$1 he kept =$99 where is the $1? because total should be $100
