The method I'm going to use is elimination.

So what I'm going to do is make the Xs cancel, and I'll do that by multiplying the first equation by -1 so the 6xs cancel.

6x+3y > 15

Now we're going to add.

-6x + 2y < -10 
6x + 3y < 15

5y < 5

Isolate y by diving 5 on both sides.

5y < 5

So y is greater than 1.

Now, I'm going to make the Ys cancel to find X. And I'll do that by multipying each function by the LCD of the Ys to make them equal 6.

(6x-2y < 10) 3
(6x + 3y > 15) 2

Now add.

18x - 6y < 30
12x + 6y > 30

30x > 60

x > 2
