Ineed on this question i'm lost 2x+16=5x+4

You add 2x and 5x wich gets you 7x and then you ad 16 and 4 which gets you 20 so

7x=20   im not sure what your answers are but that pretty much the simplest form

2x + 16 = 5x + 4

Subtract 5x from both sides, as well as subtracting 16 from both sides.

(2x - 5x) = (4 - 16)

Add like terms.

-3x = -12

Divide both sides by -3.

x = 4
