so multiply 7/8 by 7/1 since 7 divided by 1 is still 7.

then multiply the top numbers for numerator and bottom for denominator

if you need to go further you divide the 49 by 8 and get 6.125. 
6.125 = 6 and 1/8
6 is the whole number and .125 out of 100 equals 8
