y = 10

I am going to use sin and tan to figure these out
I know that sin is defined as opposite/hypotenuse
In our triangle using the 30 degree angle the opposite is 5, the hypotenuse is y
Equation:
sin 30 = 5/y
y = 5/sin 30 = 10

tan is defined as opposite/adjacent which is 5/x
Equation:
tan 30 = 5/x
x = 5/tan 30 = 8.66 OR exactly
