Suppose that a computer supplier has two warehouses, one located in Los Angeles, and another in San Francisco. The supplier has 70 units in the LA warehouse and 80 units in the SF warehouse. The supplier receives orders from two customers: one in Fresno that orders 50 units, and one in San Luis Obispo that orders 60 units. The cost of shipping one unit from: β€’ LA to Fresno is 1,
β€’ LA to SLO is 2,
β€’ SF to Fresno is 3, and
β€’ SF to SLO is 4.
Formulate the problem of deciding how many units from each warehouse should be shipped to each customer to minimize the total shipping cost as a linear programming problem. Then convert it to standard form.
