PSYCHOLOGY Somatoform disorders are complaints that last many years with several symptoms, which include at least four pain symptoms, two gastrointestinal symptoms, and one pseudoneurological or sexual symptom. Conversion disorder symptoms are preceded by a conflict or stressful event and can affect loss of function in one motor or sensory area.
