A rectangular swimming pool is twice as long as it is wide. A paved border is 4 feet wide along the two longer sides and one of the shorter sides, and 8 feet wide along the other shorter side. The border and the pool have a combined area of 2046 square feet. Let x represent the length of the shorter side of the swimming pool. Write an equation in standard form for the combined area of the pool and border in terms of x.

BONUS: Find the length and width of the swimming pool. To receive any credit for your answer factoring must be shown.
