now solve for x using your mad algebra skilz  :P

27 / 12 = x + 5 / x

2 3/12  = x/x  + 5/x

2 1/4 = 1 + 5/x

1 1/4 = 5/x

x = 5 / 1 1/4

x = 4   nice  :)

So BD is then

4 + 4+5

so BD = 13
