*ok, so we know our unit rate is 1/2. we got that from simplifying 3/6, or dividing 3, (numerator)N), and 6, (denominator)D) by 3, because 3 is their common factor. we get 1/2. next, we can variate anyway we want! you can multiply   N and D by any number!!! just for an example let's pick 4. (n) 1 x 4=4. 4 will be our new N. now for D, 2 x 4= 8! our new denominator is 8!!! so our new fraction is 4/8. which is equal to 1/2, or 3/6

But Also 3 is half of six and that simplified is 1/2
