Robin was caught in the lair of the Penguin and is now standing on a 12 ft thick piece of wood over a pit of sharks with termites eating the wood at a rate of 6 inches per 5 seconds. Your friend is being chased by a pack of rabid wolves. If x represents the time in seconds, with 0 being the current time, and y represents the distance in feet between your friend and the wolves, the situation can be represented by the equation y = 80 – 1.1x. Your job is to determine in which order you need to save your friends so that all three of them survive their plight. For each situation, you need to: 1) Create a table 2) Find the X and Y Intercepts as coordinate points 3) Create a graph with all three situations graphed in a different color 4) Clearly state what order Batman should save the friends and justify your solution.
