Income: Up to $10,000 More than $10,000 but no more than $30,000 More than $30,000

1. Write the function if x is income and f(x) is the tax rate.

2. Sketch the graph the tax brackets for different taxable incomes. The horizontal axis will be Income (in thousands) and the vertical axis will be Tax Rate (by percent). Be careful to indicate the end points correctly with open and closed points.

3. Alicia Davis, who lives in the District of Columbia, is preparing to pay her taxes. What is her tax bracket if she made $36,000 last year?
