X=4 they need to equal each other so ur doing algebra right here 30x-20=10x+60 subtract 10 from both sides you get 20x-20=60 and then you add 20 on both side so you have 20x=80 so you divide by 20 and u get x=4 you can also plug it in the equation and both sides are 100 so x=4
