I would say it's 3/8 of a cup because if you multiply 3/4 by 2 it would be 6/8. It's the same amount but just a different measurement. Now just take 3 away from 6/8 and you have 3/8 which is half of 3/4.

We need 1/2 of 3/4. So it'll look like this: 
(3/4)/2

So! We need to work with this fraction inside a fraction. To do so take the denominator and flip it. Then multiply across.
