Every time you score a shot in basketball you earn 2 points. Every time you score a free throw you earn only 1 point. In game 1 you scored 10 times for a total of 20
points. In game 2 you scored 10 times and sank one free throw for a total of 21
points. Coach Ahumada tells you that your scoring average (which is actually a
Unit Rate) so far is 20.5 points per game. How can half a point be possible if you
can score only 2 points or 1 point ever time you score in a basketball game?
Please explain your reasoning below.
