Hi answer or don't answer I don't care really Part 1: Collect Data In order to complete your assignment, you will need to collect some data.

1. Take a survey of at least 10 people. You will need a watch, stopwatch, or timer.

2. First, record the age of the person you are surveying.

3. Next, ask the person to name as many U. S. states as possible in 60 seconds. Keep a count, and watch your timer. Record each person’s data next to his or her age.

4. Repeat this with at least 10 people, and be sure to survey a range of ages, from young to old.

Part 2: Organize Your Data

1. Create a table of values using the age and number of U. S. states named in 60 seconds.

2. Use your table to create a scatter plot. Draw it by hand, or use a drawing or graphing tool on your computer. Be sure to label the x-axis and y-axis appropriately for your data.

3. Draw a line of best fit through your scatter plot.

Part 3: Drawing conclusions

1. How did you decide where to place your line of best fit? Describe your reasoning.
