Hello! I was wondering if any Economics experts would tell me which of the following are externalities for mining coal: - The breathing problems of the people living near the mine and the water pollution in local streams
- The costly mining equipment and the pay for mine workers
- The costly mining equipment and the water pollution in local streams

AND HOW IS THIS NOT AN ANSWER TO THE QUESTION: - The breathing problems of the people living near the mine and the cost of employee insurance benefits.

If an externality is a "side effect" or a "result" due to a industrial/commercial activity, wouldn't this work? (It doesn't)
