If it is < or > it is an open circle

If it is greater than or equal to or less than or equal to its a closed circle

You put that circle on the number line at 5

You know which way the arrow is pointing based on how the sign is facing

So < would be left because its pointing left (<) and > would be right because its pointing right (>)
