PLEASE HELP ASAP! STATISTICS ASSIGNMENT
The percent of registered voters surrounding Palo Alto College (PAC) voted at the rate of 15.1% in the May 2019 election. A PAC statistics professor believes that voter percentage improved in the March 2020 Election. The following table shows seven voting precincts surrounding PAC with the number of registered voters and the amount that voted in the March 2020 election.
Precinct Number Registered Voted
1042 1193 193
1044 2099 419
1045 3329 590
1046 2083 402
1060 2942 456
1092 1094 143
1105 694 100
Assignment Instructions: Use the data above, to conduct a Hypothesis Test for a Population Mean with the Standard Deviation Unknown to see whether the PAC statistics professor’s belief about the March 2020 election was correct at a 0.05 significance level.
Make sure to include the following in your Hypothesis Test:
1. State the null, H0, and alternate, H1, hypotheses and determine the tail test.
2. Find the critical value(s) for the given significance level.
3. To compute the value of the test statistic, you will need to know the mean and standard deviation of the sample proportions, (p ) representing the number of voters that turned out for each precinct in March 2020. Create a column to show the calculated p for each precinct. (Round each p to 3 decimal places.) Then, use Excel or the TI calculator to find the mean and standard deviation for the column of p values.
4. Compute the test statistic by inputting the mean and standard deviation found in part 3 directly into the textbook formula. (Round to 2 decimal places.)
5. Draw the normal curve showing the Critical Region(s) and where the test statistic is located.
6. Make a decision on whether to Reject or Fail to Reject the null hypothesis, H0.
7. Compute the P-value (round to 2 decimal places) and compare it with the significance level. Is your decision the same?
8, Write a conclusion for the PAC statistics professor that summarizes your results from parts 1-7.
9. Lastly, in simple non-statistical language, explain your results and who you think should receive this information to help increase the voter turnout next election.

Jonathan pays $1.90 per pound for potatoes. he buys 8.3 pounds of potatoes. he determines that he will pay $15.77, before tax, for the potatoes. which best describes the reasonableness of jonathan’s solution? jonathan’s answer is reasonable because there are two decimal places in the factors and two in the product. jonathan’s answer is unreasonable because there are three decimal places in the factors and two in the product. jonathan’s answer is reasonable because is 16, and 16 is close to 15.77. jonathan’s answer is unreasonable because is 8, and 8 is not very close to 15.77.
