However, the solar panels are only 14.5% efficient, which means they can only absorb 14.5% of the 800 watts. He needs 20,000 Watts of stored energy to fully charge the rover battery. How many solar panels will he need to bring on the trip to be able to fully charge an empty rover battery ?
