In Martin's class of 20 students, 4 students report that social studies is their favorite class and 75% of the students report that PE is their favorite class. Show your work to explain how to determine whether more students prefer social studies or PE.

(1) 4 students say S.S. is their fav class

75% say P.E. is their fav class...

     75% of 20 = ...(turn percent to a decimal..." of " means multiply

     0.75(20) = 15so 15 say P.E. is their fav class.

(2) 4 students say S.S. is their fav class...

     4/20 = 0.2 = 20%...so 20% say S.S. is their fav class.

 75% say P.E. is their fav class.

either way, P.E. is preferred more then Social Studies

However, according to ur numbers...there is 5% (or 1 person) who did not chose between S.S. and P.E.
