The top shows he number of bags, and the bottom shows the price. So when you get to $12 you are at 8 bags. Therefore, 12$ will get you 8 bags of rice.

Question 3: Since 2 bags of rice costs $3 its easier to find the answer if you find how much it costs for 1 bag, to do this do 3/2 which equals, 1.5. So 1 bag costs $1.50. And since you need to find out how much 20 bags would cost, do 1.5 × 20, and this equals 30. Therefore 20 bags of rice will cost you $30.
