So it’s asking you to convert from Celsius to Fahrenheit. So it gives you the formula. Punch in the C (for celsius) value into the formula and work it out for both values.

C=-39=5/9(F-32)
You can start by distributing the 5/9
-39= (5/9)F-(5/9)*32
Add (5/9)*32 to the other side to get F by itself
-39+(5/9)*32=(5/9)F
Now you multiply that WHOLE other side by 9/5. This is so the 5/9 equals out to 1/1.
9/5*(-39+(5/9)*32)=F
Note: to not confuse yourself too much do the addition part first then multiply.
F= -38.2

The answer would be (8+7z)/5
