Baseball pitchers ages 9 to 14 were followed for 10 years. Four out of 26 who had pitched at least 100 Innings in one year had elbow surgery, shoulder surgery or retirement due to a throwing injury. Of 128 who had not pitched this much 6 had such problems (based on data).
