Suppose that Teddy is holding a tennis ball cannon 3.00 feet above the ground at an angle of 33° with a muzzle velocity of 84 feet per second. The height (vertical
distance) of the ball is determined by the equation y(t)=-16+2+84sin(339)t+3.00 and
the horizontal distance x(t) = 84*cos(339)t at what is the actual speed when the ball
hits the ground? (round to 2 decimal places)
Hint: To take in consideration the vertical and the horizontal velocities we calculated
each separately at the time when the ball hits the ground and use the Pythagorean
2
dx
2
dy
Theorem, hence S =
