You multiply $32.99 by .20 and get $6.598

Subtract that from the original price and you get $26.392. This is the video game 20% off.

Multiply $26.392 by .08 and you get $2.11 , so Andre paid $2.11 in sales tax.

(Part B) Total amount Andre paid:

Now you simply add the reduced price of the video game, $26.39, with the sales tax, $2.11, and you get $28.50.
