Walking by the windows of a store front, Zach noticed that there were two stores side by side. One store that he was familiar with and knew it was 70 feet wide, but the other store he was unsure about Zach wants to know the width of the second store, but he cannot tell from the windows exactly where the
wall between the stores is. Zach then decides to measure the whole distance along the front of the two stores and finds that distance is 150 feet
Do you think this will help Zach? Explain your reasoning. What do you think the width of the second store is?

If m∠abc = 70°, what is m∠abd? justify your reasoning.  using the addition property of equality, 40 + 70 = 110, so m∠abd = 110°.  using the subtraction property of equality, 70 − 30 = 40, so m∠abd = 30°.  using the angle addition postulate, 40 + m∠abd = 70. so, m∠abd = 30° using the subtraction property of equality.  using the angle addition postulate, 40 + 70 = m∠abd. so, m∠abd = 110° using the addition property of equality.
