When you are adding decimals you need to line them up so put the whole number 3 below the 3 in 13.7 and the other two blank spaces, under the 7 and 1 put 0’s underneath them.

Then add,

3 + 3 = 6
1 + 0 = 1

Then once you add them up you will get 167, but we need a decimal in there so you move it one time from the back of the 7 into the middle of the 6 & 7
