On 1 June 2009, Migubike Corporation received Tshs. 25,000,000/- from Gairo District Council (GDC) as a grant. The grant was meant to be used on the campaign against the reduction of
dependence on forest as a source of energy. The company designed a local stove that uses less
charcoal compared to the mostly used stoves. The financial records of Migubike Corporation
showed expenses incurred for the campaign were Tshs. 15,000,000/- and Tshs. 25,000,000/- for
the years 2009 and 2010 respectively,
