Mario is designing a hot tub that he plans to build in his backyard. He has 36 square designer tiles that he will use to build a surface in his yard where he will place his hot tub. He wants to use ALL of the tiles, but he does not yet know how he will arrange them to form the base of the hot tub. If his hot tub will be rectangular, how many different unique rectangles with an area of 36 tiles does he have to choose from? A rectangle with a different length and width counts as a different unique rectangle. Take out a separate sheet of paper to create as many different configurations of tiles as you can. Remember, it is important to record the length and the width of each unique rectangle. Talk with your breakout group about the different types of rectangles that you can create that will have an area of 36 tiles. Feel free to share examples by holding up your paper to the screen. In the answer box, write down the different unique rectangles that you found by naming them by their height and width.
