If we have an expression

x^2 - 11x -152

Step 1:

Roughly multiply the first and last term

Now think of two numbers that give us -11x when added and at the same time give us -152x^2 when multiplied

Now write those two numbers.Make sure you use the right signs.

Now take separately common terms from the pair of first two and last two terms.

Step 5:

Now as the terms in the bracket are same so right them once and another bracket to pair up x+8

So the final answer will be

(x+8)(x-19)
