Let the total no. of oranges be x

Akwasi gets 1/3, balance is 2/3

The equation is

2/3x - 3/5 x 2/3x = 24

2/5 * 2/3x = 24

4/15x = 24

x = 90

Akwasi = 1/3 x 90 = 30

Abena = 3/5 x 60 = 36

Total no. of oranges

= 30 + 36 + 24

= 90
