ā¢ Learning Objective: Apply multiplication and division with fractions to convert a recipe to increase and decrease the serving size. Procedure 1. Choose one recipe from home, the internet, or a cookbook. 2. The recipe must include a minimum of 6 ingredients and at least 3 fractions. You must also know how many servings the recipe makes. 3. Using what you know about operations with fractions, increase the serving size of your recipe by 2 1ā2. Show your work. 4. Decrease your original recipe by 1ā2. Show your work. 5. Report all ingredient amounts in fractions form (even if the measurements are untraditional for cooking ). 6. In the case, you cannot reasonably divide the ingredient, such as eggs you may round to the nearest whole number. (1 1ā4 eggs, may be rounded to 1 egg) Submission The original and new recipe should be presented in any of the given forms- a brochure, poster (11x14 piece of white paper ) / booklet/google slide/google doc. Also, mention ā The original recipe with serving size. ā The increased recipe with serving size. ā The decreased recipe with serving size. ā Each new recipe includes describing the process you used to increase and decrease the ingredients. Make sure to write in a complete sentence(Explain how to multiply or divide by fractions)make the display colorful easy to read include drawings and pictures as needed.
