1. A pair of 6-sided dice are rolled, and their sum is found. Determine the erpected value of the
sum of the two dice
2. A bag has 5 marbles in it, 2 of which are red. If 2 marbles are drawn, without replacement,
determine the erpected number of red marbles drawn.
3. A game is played where a die is rolled and you win $3 on a 6, otherwise you lose $1. How much
should you expect to win, or lose, each time you play?
4. Calculate your weighted average in this class using your current category grades and the syl-
labus' weightings. Make up a score, between 0 and 100% to use for Test 3. Show all your work,
and round to at least 3 decimal places
