What is the first step to solve the following quadratic when completing the square?
x2 + 6x = 12
1)Solve the equation by taking the square root from both sides.
2)Add 9 to both sides in order to create a perfect square trinomial on the left side of the equation.
3)Factor out an X from the left side of the equation and set each factor equal to 12.
4)Subtract 12 from both sides in order to set the function equal to zero.
