Changing a improper fraction into a decimal

The procedure is the same whether the fraction is proper or improper.

Step #1).  REMEMBER.
A fraction is just a short way to write a division problem.
When you see a fraction, it really means

                (the top number)  divided by  (the bottom number).

Step #2).  DO THE DIVISION.
When you divide the top number by the bottom number,
the quotient is the decimal equivalent of the fraction.
