To start, you would simplify an take away your parenthesis. From there, it will be easier to combine like terms. You then put 5x-2x in a parenthesis and 7y-2y in another. Finally, do the math. It illustrates as so:

(5x+-2x) + (7y+-2y)
(3x) + (5y)
