The Game:

1) Choose two words from the word list

2) Write the words down in large letters, cut out each letter separately and put them all in a bag. (or hat, or bowl etc.)

3) Choose one person in the pair to be Player 1 and the other to be Player 2—Player 1 will win if more vowels are drawn, player 2 will win if more consonants are drawn. (y is used as a consonant)

4) Create a table displaying how many consonants and vowels you chose in 5 trials.

5) Create a table displaying how many consonants and vowels you chose in 10 trials.

6) Answer the questions below:
