Many organ pipes in old European churches are made of tin. In cold climates such pipes can be affected with tin pest, when the tin becomes brittle and crumbles into a gray powder. This transformation can appear to take place very suddenly because the presence of the gray powder encourages the reaction to proceed. In this exercise we assume the rate of the reaction is proportional to the product of the amount of tin left and the quantity of gray powder, p, present at time t. So that you can express the amount of tin left at any time, we also assume that when metallic tin is converted to gray powder the mass of tin plus the mass of grey matter remains equal to the quantity of tin initially present. (a) Write a differential equation for p. Let the constant B represent the quantity of tin initially present. (Use k>0 as the constant of proportionality.) (b) How much metallic tin has crumbled when it is crumbling fastest?

Use the spider tool located on page 1 of this activity to draw a 12-pointed star for the new logo. (hint: if the spider rotates 360 degrees -- or 720 degrees or 1080 degrees -- she will be facing in the same direction in which she started. when the spider is done drawing, you want her to be facing in the same direction in which she started. she'll be making 12 rotations, all the same size, so each rotation must be some multiple of 360/12 = 30 degrees.) urgently. been stuck on this problem for around 45 minutes now.! it should be easy if you're smart enough

Three students, javier, sam, and corrine, participated in a fundraiser where people donated a certain amount of money per lap that the student ran. each student also had some initial donations that were collected before the run. the equations that represent each student's total donation, y, based on the number of laps ran, x, is shown below. match each equation with the correct rate of change for that student.
