1) The ocean influences weather patterns by distributing heat and moisture around the globe. Warm water is also evaporated from the ocean into the atmosphere, where it can condense and form clouds, which can eventually lead to rain.

2) Both circulate different temperatures around. In the water, it is bringing warm and cold water through ocean currents to different areas around the world. In the atmosphere, it is pushing warm and cold air through winds to various parts of the world.

3) Convection is the circular motion that happens when warmer air or liquid, with faster moving molecules to make it less dense, rises while the cooler air or liquid drops down.  The sun heats the earth’s surface, then, when cooler air comes into contact with it, the air warms and rises, creating an upward current in the atmosphere. That current can result in wind, clouds, or other weather. Convection currents within the earth move layers of magma, and convection in the ocean creates currents.
