5 % y- 2 % x = 158

0.05y - 0.02x = 158 ------- eqn 2

Let us solve eqn 1 and eqn 2

From eqn 1,

x = 7500 - y

Substitute x = 7500 - y in eqn 2

0.05y - 0.02(7500-y) = 158

0.05y -150 + 0.02y = 158

0.07y = 158 + 150
