And replacing we have:

$0.4-1.987\sqrt{\frac{6.55^2}{50}+\frac{4.32^2}{40}}=-1.887$

$0.4+1.987\sqrt{\frac{6.55^2}{50}+\frac{4.32^2}{40}}=2.687$

So on this case the 95% confidence interval would be given by $-1.887 \leq \mu_1 -\mu_2 \leq 2.687$
