With curl, on khan academy, it was explained that finding the 2d curl can be thought of as finding twice the magnitude, since you are adding the x and y components. the same document then asks to find the rotation in radias per second of a point on a 3d graph. if says you divide it by 2 still, but wouldn't you divide it by 3 since you are taking 3 dimensions into account?
