I'm struggling in algebra 2 right now! can someone explain how to work out

But this expression can't be computed, because you can't compute the logarithm of a negative number. So, the only feasible solution is

since proposition states that a number is greater than 25, if is true then the number must actually be greater than 25.

this implies that all possible options, except 24, can be accepted
