SOH CAH TOA

You really want to remember this.  It refers to the three base trig functions and either the opposite side, adjacent side or the hypotenuse.  If you don't get what those three are let me know and I will explain them.

VERY very important though, this is just for right triangles.  There are special rules for non right triangles.

SOH is in reference to sine (sin), the first letter of each of the three parts tells which function.  OH means opposite over hypotenuse, so what you do is you take the angle wanted and the sine of that angle is the opposite side over the hypotenuse as a fraction.  so for B it was 5/13 and for A it would be 12/13.

CAH means cosine is equal to adjacent over hypotenuse, so for B it was 12/13 and for A it would be 5/13.  Notice how it flips depending on if you are taking the sine or cosine of A or B.  This is how it is all the time.  

TOA means tangent is equal to opposite over adjacent.  With B, the opposite side is 5 and the adjacent side is 12, so that;s 5/12.  It flips though for the other angle A so tan A = 12/5

You can't really do this with C though, nor do you really need to.  You already know the third angle fo a right triangle, because one of them needs to be 90 degrees, or a right angle.
